Syreeta Martin is a freelance journalist, talk show host, media personality, entrepreneur, motivational speaker and “strategic creative.” Her on-camera work for EBONY.com, Philly360.com, and appearances on Comcast Newsmakers and other local broadcast radio and TV stations has earned her the recognition as “the Oprah of Philly.”
After graduating from Temple University in 2012 with a B.A. in Journalism, Syreeta steadily progressed from blogging, to branding, to business. As a result of her compelling life story and transparency, she launched a successful crowd-funding campaign in 2013 that resulted in the creation of her company, Sincerely Syreeta & Co., LLC. SS & Co. is a lifestyle business that motivates people to Empathize, Empower, and Evolve via Content, Consulting and Coaching. In addition to providing strategic consulting and coaching services, the company houses SincerelySyreeta.com, a lifestyle blog; Sincerely Chosen: The Live Interview Series, a talk show now in its second season; and SiSy’s Here, a community empowerment initiative.
Sincerely Chosen: The Live Interview Series is a talk show experience that informs, inspires and entertains. Through Sincerely Chosen, Syreeta has created a platform that has become common ground for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences to communicate and build upon. Her audience has come to trust her electric energy, humorous commentary, raw delivery, integrity, and her ability to tackle tough topics with grace.
Syreeta has been recognized by Femme & Fortune Magazine as 1 of 30 women under 30 who are among Philadelphia’s most inspiring women; honored by Unity in the Community non-profit organization and Universal Companies for Women’s History Month in 2016, as well as by the non-profit, Influencing Action Movement for Women’s History Month in 2015; and is a recipient of the APIC Giveback Community Hero Award.
